Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights) – Saginaw, MI

Facility will consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius for a 1–13 week contract.

Works under the supervision of the Med-Surg Nurse Manager. The Staff RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care on the nursing unit according to established policies, procedures and guidelines. Accepts responsibility for the direction of co-workers in the implementation of the patient’s plan of care. Performs other duties as assigned.

• (50%) Provides nursing care using the Nursing Process: completes nursing assessment of patients and documents appropriately in the patient chart; develops a plan of care based upon the assessment; implements plan of care and documents in the chart.
• (30%) Evaluates patient’s response to care and updates plan of care.
• (20%) Oversees the delegation of specifics of the patient plan of care to unit staff.
• General Med/Surg (Oncology, Obs, Hospice, Medical & Surgical Patients)

• 2+ years of experience – Required
• Med/Surg Observation Experience – Required
• Recent traveler experience – highly preferred

• BLS
• State License:
  Michigan (must be active)

Patient ratio: 1:4/5 (Target) to 1:7
