The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care using the nursing process, including ongoing assessment of patient needs. The RN implements interventions to treat presenting symptoms, evaluates patient responses, and adjusts care as needed. The RN functions as a team leader and resource, delegates and supervises support staff, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to establish and achieve patient goals. The RN is responsible for caring for patients across all populations.
Responsibilities 40%:
Assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing care per physician orders, plan of care, and evidence-based practice standards. 30%:
Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, patient education, call light response, transfers, alarm response, and related duties. 20%:
Evaluate treatment effectiveness and participate in revising care plans with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes. 10%:
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
