Position:
Level 1/2 Field Technician - Telecomm


*** 5 RESOURCES NEEDED TOTAL*** - THREE Tier 1s (phone placement, low level) and TWO Tier 2s (generic telephony knowledge).

Duration:

• Contract - 2 Weeks, Weeks of 9/23 AND 9/30, M-F, 8AM-5PM
• ** There will be more of the same work in Michigan to come in October and ongoing, these people could become go-to's for this long term project!

Overview:

• Need five (5) L1 & L2 Field Tech resources in Saginaw, Michigan area to support a large telephony, infrastructure, & software/hardware refresh project at hospital site.
• Telephony site survey of the 4 hospitals/buildings included above, approximately 2,700 phones to be located.

SITE SURVEY - Onsite working as a team walking the floors of a hospital facility, identifying where all telecom devices are, working with healthcare clinicians who have little time to help us understand the layout (there's a switch or telecom device stuck in a drawer or hidden in a closet).

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Field Technician experience
• Solid phone placement and telephony knowledge
• Comfortable taking direction, following defined processes, can act in supervisory role if needed

Nice to Haves:

• They know their way around a switch room and closet to identify potential issues with installing new Avaya equipment.
• Has the skill to run cross-connects and simple cabling between the equipment and the wall field in the switch room.
• Knows the inner connectivity of wiring between switch and endpoint-someone who has Avaya knowledge and can rack and stack servers and gateways.
