Hello! Thank you for your interest in joining the Wellspring team as a full-time In-Home Caregiver for the Wellspring Personal Assistance program. As a statewide nonprofit serving seniors, families and children in need of support, we take a whole-person approach to our organization and delivery of our services — because we believe we must find the strengths in people and build on these for lasting change to occur.

When you join our team as an In-Home Caregiver
, you’ll be part of a team of caregivers, CNAs and administrative professionals who are committed to supporting our staff in their work of serving seniors within the Saginaw and Frankenmuth community. In this position, you’ll bring a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Additional experience with caregiving and working with seniors in a long-term care setting is preferred; a current CNA license with the state of Michigan is preferred but not required.

You will bring a positive attitude and strive for excellence in all you do, valid Michigan driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation (required).

• Assist the client with daily activities of living
• Housekeeping; keeping the clients living area clean and orderly
• Assisting with laundry
• Help with meal preparation in accordance with clients diet plan and assist in feeding as necessary
• Grocery shopping as necessary and running errands with or without client present
• Assist with dressing and grooming
• Transferring and positioning clients in home environment without assistance
• Provide companionship and activities
• Respond to client calls and requests promptly
• Assist with exercises
• Assist with personal hygiene and medication reminders
• Travel to clients home to assist with needs
• Support clients, promote their rights and allow privacy, dignity and well-being
• Have efficient time management and prioritization of work
