Staff Physician

Manages patient medical care including diagnosis, treatment, and follow up.

Maintains appropriate documentation on patient clinical records.

Participates in GLBHC Quality Assurance activities as assigned.

Assists in the establishment of appropriate fee schedule, expense budgets, and program plans.

Directs medical support staff.

• Assists in marketing and public relations, including recruitment of providers as needed.
• Performs other functions relating to GLBHC medical program as may be required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by President/CEO and Chief Medical Officer.

• Education:
  
  M.D. or D.O. from an accredited Medical School and be able to produce evidence of such.
• Licensure:
  Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Michigan. Possesses valid DEA license. Board Eligible. Board Certified preferred.
• Experience:
  
  1-2 years in underserved area preferred.

• Physical Effort:
  Medium.
• Hours:
  
  Full-time, Monday through Friday. Flexible and varied.
• Travel:
  Some travel between sites required. Travel may be required in order to attend pertinent conferences; with travel, lodging, and living costs reimbursed at the existing rate of the corporation. Reimbursement for expenses will occur in accordance with GLBHC policy.
