Bookkeeper - Newaygo Area

Salary Range: $47,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

• Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and vendor payments.
• Handle accounts receivable, including customer invoicing and payment application.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with related tax regulations.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and support costing related to production materials.

• Proficiency in general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of inventory valuation methods and cost accounting principles relevant to manufacturing.
• Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Demonstrated experience with ERP systems or specialized manufacturing accounting software.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP Business One).

• Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing environments (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite).
• Understanding of inventory costing methods (e.g., standard costing, FIFO) and their impact on financial reporting.
• Familiarity with job costing or activity-based costing principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
