Total earnings £35,500 – £39,500 per annum (Basic pay £27,500 p.a. Participation in Out of Hours Rotas generates additional overtime and allowances circa. £8K – £12K p.a.)

Funeral Operative– The Role
This is an active role, where no two days are the same. Offering a wide range of practical funeral related tasks that will involve heavy lifting, the role will also include chauffeuring our funeral cars and therefore a smart appearance and a full, clean driving licence is essential.
You will- Support ceremonial aspects of funerals.
- Work with nursing homes, hospitals and other facilities to bring individuals into our care.
- Prepare and trim coffins.
- Maintain funeral vehicles and ambulance fleets to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Work in the mortuary environment in the care, preparation and presentation of those in our care. This will be introduced to you gradually and under supervision.
- Be conscientious and reliable, flexible, resourceful and well-presented.
- Be punctual with good time management.
- Be a good team player.
- Be empathetic and able to communicate with people at all levels.
- Have a clean driving licence with access to your own transport.
- Have the ability to carry out a range of physical tasks including heavy lifting.
