Platform Recruitment has partnered with a specialist manufacturer of precision electro‑mechanical instruments. They're seeking a hands‑on Production Engineer to support and enhance their manufacturing operations. You'll focus on improving processes, supporting day‑to‑day production needs, and helping bring new and customised products smoothly into manufacture. This role suits someone practical, organised and proactive who enjoys varied engineering challenges.

• Provide day‑to‑day engineering support to engineering teams.
• Lead improvement tasks and contribute to cross‑team problem solving.
• Create tooling, fixtures and aids to improve build efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement activities.
• Prototype & test products using in‑house equipment.
• Produce CAD models and drawings for updates or custom requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers or customers to clarify technical details.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electro‑mechanical assemblies.

• Strong background in electro‑mechanical products.
• 3D CAD design experience – Solid Works preferable.
• Good understanding of manufacturing quality principles.
• Well organised with strong planning and documentation abilities.
• Hands‑on background in prototyping & testing.
• Workshop skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
