Highly skilled mechanic who safely performs diagnostic, maintenance, installation and repair of crush and conveying equipment and related systems.

• Performs system troubleshooting, maintenance and component removal, repair and installation of jaw and gyratory crushers, vibratory screens, conveyors, dust suppression/collection systems, mobile conveying systems, etc.
• Performs mechanical and lubrication preventive maintenance such as changing filters in dust collection systems, checking screens, oil levels and lubrication systems.
• Prioritizes and makes decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections.
• Trains and mentors other employees.
• Performs advanced welding and fabrication.
• May operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, cranes and boom trucks.
• Performs as a Fill‑in Supervisor as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Two (2) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (including Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP exists) and demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• FPM Diagnostic Mechanic I:
  Ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while achieving a 35% score on a written assessment where required. Must demonstrate proficient basic welding skills.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety‑related instructions and procedures in English.
• Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures and applicable safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• This is a safety‑sensitive role.
• While performing duties, the employee must stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, see and work in confined spaces.
• May occasionally be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
• May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment (hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, respirator, protective clothing, gloves, etc.).

Estimated pay range for this role is $28.00 - $38.00/hour
. This reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other factors. Role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations.
