Summary Description
The Chemical Delivery Technician is responsible for the overall chemical delivery and application. This includes delivery and set up of chemicals at customer locations, maintaining proper chemical application, maintaining chemical delivery systems, troubleshooting chemical issues. This role is also the catalyst to maintaining cost control in each account that Mark VII sells chemicals, services, and equipment.
- Follow daily route plan timely. Safely drive most efficient route. Communicate with Supervisor when unable to do so.
- Collaborate with Service team with goal of optimal operations in mind.
- Collects money from customers on COD orders and record transaction on customer receipt.
- Maintains good housekeeping of our supplies in the customer’s chemical area.
- Entry of car counts and inventory into WaMoS.
- Monitor and analyze chemical delivery systems.
- Chemical installation, maintenance and consumption monitoring of each account.
- Manages warehouse ordering, receiving and deliveries to customer.
- Responsible for inventory shortages and careful handling of product.
- Manage logistics of chemical ordering and delivery to the market.
- Collaborate with local Service Technicians to an assigned chemical service protocol.
- Has the ability to sell car wash owners a higher upgrade chemical for their wash.
- Call on potential customer accounts.
- May be called from time to time to go to another direct service area to assist.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and warehouse.
- Must be able to develop good relationship with the customer base and advise them of new chemicals or upgrades that would help improve their operation.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations to include but not limited to:
- Maintain any needed truck log according to State and Federal Regulations
- Conducts daily inspections on all facets of the vehicle required by the Department of Transportation
- Make sure load is properly secured and braced while all hazardous materials are properly segregated.
- Other tasks assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class A, B, C with a Haz-Mat endorsement required
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Prolonged periods of sitting.
- Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.
Must have good customer service skills. Must be flexible to workdays, nights or weekends if necessary. This position has a varying work schedule and is required to participate in an on-call shift rotation. Some travel may be required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet be flexible and have ability to work in a team environment.
SafetyMust adhere to all safety rules, policies and regulations in relationship to OSHA, DOT, FMCSR and Mark VII Equipment standards. Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check and have a clean driving record.
