Application Developer – Information Technology Specialist I

Our Application Developer must have proficient knowledge of cloud computing and data science concepts, practices, methods, and principles within the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and they will act in a lead capacity or work as a team member with other software engineers and represent the section at internal and external meetings supporting the Energy Commission’s Application Architecture.

• Ability to act independently while administering enterprise-scale commercial, modified commercial, or cloud products, systems, and applications.
• Experience planning, installing, configuring, developing, testing, and troubleshooting enterprise products or applications with appropriate planning to allow for delegation and distribution of management functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including IT documentation
• Ability to develop complex detailed specifications that result in applications and reports; using .NET and SQL server platform.
• Ability to troubleshoot the most complex information technology systems and/or teleprocessing network/systems.
• Ability to act as a subject matter expert and facilitate the transfer of knowledge of technical information to other IT professionals.
• Experience configuring, managing, and administering enterprise cloud solutions for endpoint system security
