Mobile Service Technician – Northern California (Sacramento Region)
We are urgently seeking experienced Mobile Service Technicians to support operations throughout the Northern California (Sacramento region). Ideal candidates are technically skilled, self-directed, and customer-focused professionals who thrive in a mobile, field-based environment.
Compensation:
$27 – $50 per hour , based on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

Experience with
CNG, EV, diesel, and propane systemsStrong diagnostic capabilities
Electrical experience (required)
Cummins engine experience (preferred)
Class B driver’s license
Solid computer skills
Bilingual skills (preferred)
The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for minimizing customer downtime by providing accurate, efficient diagnosis and repairs either in the field or at designated service facilities. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality customer service.
Technicians must successfully complete 3–6 months of on‑the‑job training at a designated service center.

Complete assigned work accurately, efficiently, and to high quality standards
Receive and execute work orders as assigned
Maintain and inventory issued service tools in safe working condition
Coordinate with parts departments to obtain required materials
Perform thorough vehicle inspections and report additional repair or safety needs
Accurately track labor time and parts usage using electronic systems
Document repairs clearly using the 3-C Method :
Concern
Cause
Correction
Travel to customer locations using a service vehicle to perform on‑site repairs
Communicate effectively with customers to ensure a positive service experience
Notify service management of delays, issues, or additional repair needs
Maintain clean and organized work areas and tools
Secure parts, materials, and supplies properly
Maintain required certifications and training
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Perform basic and advanced diagnostics and repairs across all supported equipment
Work independently and collaboratively to maximize efficiency
Operate a wide range of hand, power, and shop tools
Assist with onboarding and training of new technicians as needed
Perform all other duties reasonably assigned within the scope of the role
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, or crawling
Technician efficiency (minimum 70%)
Certification maintenance and compliance
Comeback rate below 2.0%
Completion of assigned training (100%)
Adherence to safety policies and core values
No direct supervisory responsibilities
May assist with training and development of new technicians

Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and varying weather conditions
Noise levels may be loud at times
Monday through Friday, between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (shifts may vary)
Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required
Travel throughout California
Position requires being on the road up to 100% of the time
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Completion of required technician certification programs
NFPA 70 High Voltage Safety Certification (for EV technicians)
Section 609 Certification
EV power drive certification
Wheelchair lift inspection and maintenance training (Braun, Ricon)
A/C training (minimum one of the following):
MCC/Carrier
Valeo
Trans-Air
ACT
Preferred
Vocational or technical school diploma/certificate
Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement
5+ years of heavy‑duty automotive or bus mechanic experience
4+ years of electrical system diagnosis and repair experience
ASE School Bus Certification is highly desired (minimum 5 of 7 categories)
Cummins engine certifications (minimum 2 of the following):
ISB
ISLG
L9
You should be proficient in:
