HVAC Technician - Lakewood, CO
Pay: $30-$35 per hour
Schedule: Alternative work shift. AM shift starting at 5:00am and possible evening work.
Company-provided van and tools.
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to provide maintenance, repair, and service for commercial properties across Lakewood. In this hands‑on role, you'll perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems while also leveraging skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and minor building maintenance. You will travel to multiple customer sites within an assigned territory, interact with clients, and ensure systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC systems (package units, split systems, boilers, and heat exchangers)
- Diagnose, repair, and service HVAC equipment, including compressors, fans, motors, belts, pulleys, controls, and refrigerant systems
- Use EPA‑compliant refrigerants safely and efficiently
- Conduct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting repairs as needed for client facilities
- Complete service inspections, asset inspections, and document work via tablet or smartphone technology
- Submit timesheets, expense reports, purchase card logs, and service reports
- Provide estimates for larger projects or repairs
- Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and service
- Attend safety training and comply with OSHA and company safety standards
- Travel locally daily to assigned commercial properties
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade certification preferred
- 5+ years of HVAC/general maintenance experience including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Experience in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams
- Competent with technology for work orders, reporting, and inspections
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance
- Lift up to 75 lbs occasionally; 50 lbs frequently
- Good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral) and depth perception
- Work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to electrical components, mechanical parts, heat, cold, humidity, fumes, and noise
- Competitive pay: $30-$35/hour
- Full‑time, Alternative work shift, Monday‑Friday
