Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Join Daifuku as a Technician and maintain and repair Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges. You will mentor and train junior staff in the absence of Senior Technicians and supervisors.

• Complete preventive, routine and emergency maintenance, including clearing system jams and performing shift inspections.
• Diagnose equipment failures under senior guidance and ensure safe operation.
• Provide direction, guidance and training to technicians assigned to maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret repair manuals, schematics and supervisor instructions.
• Work in tall and/or high spaces using appropriate PPE and fall protection equipment.
• Follow all company and federal policies, complete assigned training and maintain accurate work forms.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to work non-traditional schedules including weekends and holidays.

• Previous work experience in an airport environment.
• Experience working on conveyors and/or passenger boarding bridges.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, welding, brazing and plumbing.
• Minimum 3 years industrial mechanical and/or electrical background.
• PLC logic and/or industrial HVAC certification preferred.

• Stand, walk, sit, reach, climb and crawl as required.
• Lift and push/pull up to 51+ lbs occasionally.
• Operate in high noise and potential dust environments.

Work under the airport terminal, with continual noise and dust below OSHA action levels.
