Brief Description

The Sales Client Advisor is responsible for welcoming, assisting, and selling vehicles and related products while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and meeting sales and profit objectives.

Job‑Specific Expectations
  • Coordinate with the sales manager to set and meet new and used sales quotas and profit margin goals
  • Introduce customers to parts, service, F&I, and general merchandise departments
  • Use floor time effectively to meet customer needs and solicit sales
  • Follow established procedures for tagging, storage, and warranty handling
  • Explain product features and benefits to all products
  • Complete paperwork accurately and on time
  • Maintain the computerized inventory control system, meeting net profit goals
  • Actively develop prospects and demonstrate product advantages over competitors
  • Cross‑sell accessories, parts, F&I products, service contracts, warranties, etc.
  • Greet customers politely and promptly and maintain professional appearance
  • Follow the documented sales process consistent with dealership procedures
  • Verify customer creditworthiness and buying ability
  • Handle complaints with empathy, contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Conduct telephone transactions courteously and promptly
  • Create a memorable delivery event to foster loyalty
  • Utilize a consistent quotation process for purchases, trade‑ins, and sales
  • Perform pre‑delivery inspection and road test before delivery
  • Attend relevant training and stay current with sales techniques
  • Satisfy vehicle purchasers’ transportation needs
  • Deliver a minimum of nine units per month
  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking probing questions and listening carefully
  • Explain product performance, applications, and benefits in detail
  • Describe optional equipment available for purchase
  • Offer test drives, obtain proper identification, and follow dealership procedure
  • Use dealership sales control and follow‑up system
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Understand federal, state, and local automotive sales laws
  • Set personal income goals aligned with dealership standards and devise strategies to meet them
