PositionSales Representative – Emergency Medicine
LocationBased in the Sacramento, CA area.
Position SummaryThe role focuses on connecting with clinicians and economic buyers, driving results by managing relationships and serving as the primary contact with emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, interventionalists, nurses, and paramedics in the OR and acute care hospital. Responsibilities span from initial lead outreach to order fulfillment for Teleflex’s emergency medicine portfolio, including the Arrow EZ-IO Intraosseous Vascular Access System and Quik Clot products.
PrincipalResponsibilities
- Develop and maintain a detailed, strategic territory business plan to manage multiple priorities.
- Grow market share and utilization among existing accounts while securing new users within the geography.
- Achieve revenue and profitability goals through effective organizational and time management.
- Lead customer conversations, foster customer advocacy, build trust-based relationships, and develop key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Build champions and navigate the VAC process to influence clinical preferences.
- Drive adoption of disruptive technology from no share to full share.
- Demonstrate superior product, clinical, and market understanding; maintain competency in all product indications and applications.
- Provide customer training, product in-services, skills days, and trade show education to ensure safe and efficacious use of Teleflex emergency medicine products.
- Understand competitors’ technology and strategy to navigate competitive conversations.
- Apply healthcare economics knowledge, GPO/IDN understanding, and contracting processes to support sales.
- Use and Power BI to develop account profiles, manage pipeline, and forecast accurately; analyze data to grow territory sales.
- Maintain credentials to enter hospitals and medical facilities as required by facility requirements.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or 8+ years of medical device sales experience with a proven track record. Minimum four years of prior medical device sales or relevant clinical experience is expected. OR experience in operating room, trauma, and emergency medicine is ideal, with background in selling disruptive technology and growing market share.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements- Carry/assist with equipment up to 30 lbs; stand or walk 6–10 hours per day, up to five days per week.
- Proficiency with computer technology and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Clean driving license; self-directed with ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong teamwork, change management, emotional intelligence, and resiliency.
- Establish and maintain credentials (via Rep Trax, Vendormate, etc.) to enter healthcare facilities as required by facility requirements.
Up to 25–50% travel, dictated by customer needs.
Compensation & BenefitsPay range at commencement: $92,000 – $192,000 (inclusive of commissions). Base pay varies by location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Commissions depend on performance.
