Responsibilities
  • The Account Representative is responsible for maintaining a set of physician clients in order to achieve/exceed sales results in the assigned territory.
  • Represent and promote the company’s test menu and line of therapeutic products to assigned customers.
  • Retain physician base of clients and quickly identify changes in ordering patterns.
  • Be knowledgeable on all services and therapeutic offerings of the company or as assigned.
  • Utilize data to plan customer strategies (e.g., dashboards, provided data).
  • Plan daily activities (pre-call planning) to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Use appropriate support materials when detailing services, products, or processes.
  • Monitor competitive activity and trends within the territory.
  • Complete post-call analysis and plan follow-up using the company CRM.
  • Communicate promptly and succinctly with the internal team using appropriate tools.
  • Operate within established expense budgets and guidelines, and comply with company policies and guidelines.
  • Travel within the assigned territory is required; physical demands include sitting, using hands, and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Follow any other job-related instructions and perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Pre-Med, etc.).
  • Preferred:
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • * Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • * Self-motivation and a desire to learn.
  • * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • One or more years of sales experience using consultative selling skills (experience in healthcare services is a plus).
  • Must reside within the assigned territory.
