- Build and maintain executive relationships with decision-makers in state agencies and universities
- Position technology solutions to support major state initiatives and enhance cybersecurity posture
- Navig complex procurement processes and leverage state contracts to accelerate sales cycles
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue and gross profit quotas for assigned SLED portfolio
- Proven success in navigating SLED procurement processes and closing deals using cooperative contracts
- Strong knowledge of IT initiatives and procurement processes in California and Texas
- Experience selling to the Higher Education market and understanding its governance and funding models
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with C-level executives and SLED leadership
- Ability to manage business opportunities using CRM tools for sales pipeline growth and forecasting
- Experience with state and local cooperative contracts, including NASPO Value Point and specific state vehicles
- Familiarity with identifying and leveraging SLED funding streams, such as federal grants
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive and a collaborative approach to sales success
- Previous experience in a high-growth technology company
- Ability to travel as required to manage the assigned territory effectively
