What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Drive the adoption of identity and security technologies within California and Texas SLED markets
  • Build and maintain executive relationships with decision-makers in state agencies and universities
  • Position technology solutions to support major state initiatives and enhance cybersecurity posture
  • Navig complex procurement processes and leverage state contracts to accelerate sales cycles
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue and gross profit quotas for assigned SLED portfolio
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Proven success in navigating SLED procurement processes and closing deals using cooperative contracts
  • Strong knowledge of IT initiatives and procurement processes in California and Texas
  • Experience selling to the Higher Education market and understanding its governance and funding models
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with C-level executives and SLED leadership
  • Ability to manage business opportunities using CRM tools for sales pipeline growth and forecasting
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience with state and local cooperative contracts, including NASPO Value Point and specific state vehicles
  • Familiarity with identifying and leveraging SLED funding streams, such as federal grants
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive and a collaborative approach to sales success
  • Previous experience in a high-growth technology company
  • Ability to travel as required to manage the assigned territory effectively
