Sales Manager, Business Development
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who knows construction inside and out and has what it takes to influence adoption and drive success. Based in Sacramento, CA, this role requires someone who can walk onto a job site, speak the language of the trades, and earn trust through hands‑on experience. You’ll use that credibility to influence builders and installers, driving adoption of prefinished millwork and doors as a smarter, more efficient solution for multi‑family projects.
WhoWe Are
North America’s largest manufacturer and distributor of interior millwork producing and selling interior finishings. We have been steadily growing our footprint and industry leadership for nearly 100 years. Established in 1926, still owned by the founding family, we continue to have the same focus on product excellence and superior customer experience. We help people transform houses into homes. You’ve probably seen our products in the media featured on tv shows and magazines such as HGTV, Style At Home and House & Home, or by one of our Instagram influencers.
Whyshould you work for Metrie?
At Metrie, you’re more than just a number; you’re part of a family. We work hard to create an environment where you feel empowered to bring your best every day. Your contributions matter, and we take pride in fostering a culture built on learning, ownership, and being one team. We’re committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
WhatYou’ll Do
As Business Development Manager for the Western U.S., you’ll be part of a national team driving one of Metrie’s most important strategic priorities: expanding the use of prefinished millwork and doors in multi‑family construction. Reporting to the Director of Pre‑finishing, you’ll play a highly visible role in shaping how we grow in this segment, defining and delivering plans that achieve sales growth while adapting to evolving priorities in a dynamic market.
WhoWe’re Looking For
A driven, results‑oriented professional with a passion for driving growth. You’re confident working independently, building relationships, and representing the organization with credibility. Comfortable on job sites, you speak the language of construction teams and know how to influence decision‑makers. You excel at demonstrating value, introducing new products and driving adoption. Experience in multi‑family projects is a strong advantage.
This role is intended to be based out of Sacramento, with potential for other western locations for the right candidate.
