Savvas Learning Company is seeking an Account Manager to support sales of our pre‑K12 curriculum in the Sacramento, CA region. The Account Manager will represent all aspects of Savvas products, services, and solutions in assigned accounts, maximizing profitable revenue, improving market share, developing growth strategies, coordinating marketing plans, and working within assigned operating budgets. In collaboration with the Sales Director and/or RVP, the Account Manager will apply winning expertise and appropriate market resources to exceed pre‑K12 sales expectations.
NOTE:
This position requires attendance at on‑site customer meetings in Sacramento, CA.
- Achieve and exceed the Savvas Pre‑K12 sales revenue goal within assigned sales and operational expense budgets.
- Translate vision and strategy into effective sales actions to maximize profitable revenue across all Savvas Pre‑K12 products, services, and solutions.
- Partner with senior decision‑makers in district accounts to present broad Savvas solutions—including instruction, assessment, technology, and services—to increase student achievement.
- Identify solutions and opportunity points in each district and mobilize market resources to bring Savvas expertise to win the business; resolve product and service delivery issues.
- Develop three‑year account business plans, including annual sales plans that reflect customer needs and funding criteria.
- Prepare sales and pipeline reports showing secured sales, potential sales, and opportunity areas using sales analytics.
- Seek new growth opportunities, including digital sales and emerging avenues.
- Coordinate field input to product management, development, and marketing to ensure instructional needs are met effectively and innovatively.
- Provide the Director and RVP with accurate information on all sales activities, including forecasting, competition analysis, and market trends.
- Work with contract administration to ensure listing processes are completed on time and to the best advantage of the assessment and instruction group.
- Build relationships with other Savvas divisions and develop integration plans to maximize revenue opportunities across educational channels.
- 3‑5 years of sales experience, or a combination of teaching and/or similar edTech sales roles.
- Proven success in consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Experience networking with and influencing decision‑makers.
- Preferred experience in the educational market.
- Ability to drive decision‑makers toward Savvas solutions.
- Strategic sales thinking and strong communication skills; record of executing sales plans.
- Flexible and adaptable to organizational change.
- Excellent written and presentation skills, leveraging technology.
- Strong listening skills for delivering customer‑requested solutions.
- High learning curve for new and existing product lines.
- Capability to stay current with technology trends.
- B.A. degree or equivalent experience.
- Significant travel may be required.
- Ability to sit or stand at a computer for extended periods.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
