Essential Function includes supporting the Store Manager in hiring, developing and leading store associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, overseeing store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Assistants support the Store Manager in all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Responsibilities
  • 30% Brand:
    Provide supervision and support for associates’ daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty in assigned stores. Emphasize in-store selling and Omni-channel. Ensure brand standards are met (merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc.). Act as main point of contact to resolve customer issues. Analyze store trends and anticipate customer demands.
  • 30% People:
    Engage, train and develop teams to achieve positive results. Leverage internal hiring platforms and recruit to build a network of external candidates when needed. Identify strengths and opportunities for each associate and address through coaching. Enforce Company policies and expectations. Maintain positive associate relations by addressing concerns and sharing relevant information. Build strong working relationships with Store Manager peers. Maintain consistent, timely communication with AM/DM.

  • 30% Operations:
    Ensure execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Utilize processes supporting digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manage inventory through ordering and shipment processing. Manage payroll hours to meet business needs and schedule appropriately. Ensure opening and closing procedures are performed correctly. Follow Company directives, assignments and projects in a timely and accurate manner.
  • 10% Safety/Loss Prevention:
    Maintain a safe store environment for associates and customers; enforce policies and procedures. Protect company assets by ensuring inventory and cash control procedures related to shrink, damages, and banking are followed. Use available reporting, tools and technology. Ensure stores comply with all HAZMAT training and execution.
Knowledge, Skills/Abilities And Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives
  • Effective communication with team and management
  • Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business
  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required

Working Conditions /

Physical Requirements

The position requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, reaching, or lifting moderately heavy items. May require working in other stores from time to time. The work environment involves normal safety precautions typical of offices, meeting/training rooms, retail stores and vehicles. Work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated.
