The Multi‑Purpose Clerk may be assigned to one of several departments within the store, including Center Store, Produce, Meat/Seafood, Bakery/Deli, or Janitorial. Responsibilities include promoting sales, answering customer questions, placing special orders, practicing safe food handling, maintaining a clean workstation, and stock, rotate, and merchandise products to maintain freshness and department appeal.

• Center Store/Front End – Operate the check stand according to company policy, memorize PLU codes, manage inventory, merchandise product, and perform POS and inventory activities.
• Produce – Receive, inspect, and log products; trim, wash, and wrap produce; stock and merchandise keeping department fresh and appealing.
• Meat/Seafood – Receive, inspect, and log products; weigh, wrap, and label for display; provide customer service at the seafood counter and special orders.
• Bakery/Deli – Receive, inspect, and log products; prepare, weigh, package, and label; stock and merchandise baked goods and deli products; handle special orders.
• Janitorial – Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, break rooms, office areas, and parking lot; operate janitorial equipment as needed.
• Duties Included in All Departments – Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, refrigerated areas; operate forklift and baler if authorized; perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self‑motivation.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job.

High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or additional job experience.

At least six months of related experience.

Availability to work a variety of retail hours.

Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis; lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.

Hiring pay range: $16.75 – $26.00.
