Range: $16.90‑$20.00 / Hour (DOE).
PurposeThe line cook is responsible for setting up and stocking assigned stations with supplies, preparing food for service, and cooking menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff.
Duties & Responsibilities- Prepare all restaurant foods
- Demonstrate knowledge in all kitchen areas
- Read, measure and execute recipes and computer tickets for service
- Apply knife skills and maintain menu knowledge and plate presentation
- Assist chefs as needed in execution of service
- Communicate with management, chefs and service staff to address guest and employee requests
- Move furniture as directed by management
- Comply with safety and health department procedures
- Maintain company safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure checkout procedures are completed
- Clean spills immediately and dispose of trash properly
- Report complaints, issues or incidents to management
- Complete nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties
- Report equipment failures and safety hazards
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
- High School Diploma preferred
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Valid Driver’s License
- 18+ years of age
- Possession of required state work cards
- Minimum of two (2) years related experience
- Advanced knife skills
- Proper food storage knowledge
- Proper lifting techniques
- Guest relations
- Sanitation and safety knowledge
- Full service kitchen operations experience
- Excellent communication in English, both verbally and in writing
- Work indoors/outdoors, exposed to hot/ cold surfaces, steam and wet floors
- Noise, crowds and smoke due to guest volume
- High volume, fast paced full service restaurant
- Shift work including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Walk long periods
- Stand long periods
- Use hands for handling objects
- Repeat same movements for long periods
- Understand speech of others
- Speak clearly
- Push and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
