This is a part-time, on-site Archaeologist role based in Sacramento, CA. The role involves participating in excavation and fieldwork activities, documenting findings, and supporting cultural resource assessments. The Archaeologist will ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide input on CEQA/NEPA related projects and reports.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Archaeology and Anthropology
- Experience in Excavation and Field Work processes
- Understanding of CEQA/NEPA regulations and guidelines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with California-specific cultural resource regulations is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in on-site field settings and under various environmental conditions
