The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader directs crew members and reports to the Area/Operations Manager to ensure that client expectations are met for each job.

• Plan maintenance activities at the job site according to specifications, client expectations and Area/Operations Manager direction
• Assign daily tasks to crew and ensure compliance
• Evaluate the quality of service provided to customers and follow procedures to minimize customer complaints
• Train and evaluate the effectiveness of the crew
• Ensure proper use, care and inventory of company vehicles, equipment and tools assigned
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers
• Promote and maintain safe working conditions

• Minimum of one year related experience and/or training
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area and volume
• Valid California Driver License

• Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Physical and sensory abilities including talking or hearing; standing, walking and sitting; driving a truck/trailer; using hands to handle objects; reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; lifting up to 50 pounds; and vision requirements
• Working in outdoor weather conditions and exposure to fumes or chemicals; occasional loud noise
