Junior Leader Program - Summer Camp

Arden Park Recreation and Park District is continuing our Junior Leader program for the Arden Park Explorers Summer Camp and Camp Cresta Critters. We are looking for youth 12-15 years old that have an interest in leadership development, teamwork, and that want to have fun while working with children ages 3-11 during the summer in a volunteer capacity. Junior Leaders in the Arden Park Summer Camps will be mentored by camp staff and they will gain confidence, create lasting friendships, and build skills to become future Recreation Leaders at summer camp.

Mandatory Staff Training will be held on Thursday 6/12/25. Summer Camp runs June 16-August 8, 2025. Junior Leaders work either AM or PM shifts. Fee covers JL shirts, team bonding experiences, and staff banquet at the end of summer.

Requirements:
Must be 12-15 years old. At least going into 7th grade. No previous experience is required; however, babysitting, volunteer work, or having attended summer camp previously is a plus. Application must be submitted by Friday, April 11th.
