Registered Nurse

Overview

Sierra Vista Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for the Nursing Department. If you're passionate about working in the behavioral health setting and have the desire to join a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to serving our patients, we want to hear from you!

• The Staff Nurse (R.N.) prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
• Cross-functional training may be required to learn skills that will allow the license to work seamlessly throughout the facility.

The Sierra Vista Hospital location, a 171-bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento, is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Associates Degrees accepted,
  Bachelor’s Degree

• Experience: At least 6 months experience. Experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred

• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Valid driver’s license preferred
  .
• Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification, and successful completion of the hospital’s designated behavioral and physical management training program including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint required prior to assisting in the procedures. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
