Overview
We provide programs and support services for patients, families, caregivers, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Outside the federal government, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest research funder in the country and offers advocacy opportunities to make public policy change. At the Alzheimer's Association, diversity and inclusion are vital to our mission.
The Association leads strategic initiatives to support diversity and a culture of inclusivity. These strategic initiatives also strengthen outreach to all populations, providing communities with resources and support to address the Alzheimer’s crisis. By partnering with organizations locally and nationally to advance diversity and inclusion, the Association can broaden its reach in all communities.
Do What You Love to play basketball, baseball, soccer or any other sport? We need your help to end Alzheimer’s. The Alzheimer's Association of Northern California and Northern Nevada is looking for volunteers to help us with our newest national signature event, Do What You Love To End ALZ. You are invited to join The Volunteer Committee where you will play a vital role in team recruitment and cultivation, as well as marketing and promoting the event throughout our chapter territory.
We are looking for assistance with recruiting sport or fitness clubs to join our efforts.
People across the world are doing what they love, or what those affected by the disease love to do. Together, we will raise funds and awareness for care and support while advancing research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.
