Unearth Digital Director

As a Digital Director at Unearth, you’ll lead impactful public affairs campaigns and bring smart, strategic thinking to every stage of digital execution. You’ll work closely with clients, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continued growth of our agency, both in the quality of our work and the strength of our partnerships.

Who You Are: Asenior-level professional with a deep understanding of public affairs and a strong command of digital tools and tactics.

This is a hybrid position. You will work from our Sacramento office 3 days per week. Enjoy weekly team lunches and collaboration with a team of savvy digital public affairs professionals.

• Client Strategy & Execution:
  Lead digital public affairs campaigns from planning through delivery, ensuring exceptional quality, on-time execution, and satisfied clients.
• Relationship Building & Advising:
  Serve as a trusted partner to clients, offering strategic counsel, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving.
• Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor junior staff, delegate effectively, and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team environment.
• Business Development & Innovation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, shape proposals, and develop service offerings that showcase Unearth’s strengths.
• Process Improvement & Implementation: Design and implement systems that improve campaign delivery, team operations, and overall client experience.

• 6–10 years of experience in digital public affairs, campaigns, or related agency work.
• Expertise in digital strategy, advertising platforms, and audience targeting.
• Deep understanding of public affairs tools: polling, voter files, influencer targeting, grassroots outreach, etc.
• Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.

• Compensation: $113,000 – $181,000 per year, commensurate with experience
• Employer-sponsored premium healthcare, dental and vision plans for employee, spouse, and dependents with optional buy-ups
• 401k retirement plan with dollar-for-dollar employer matching up to 3% of base salary; and 50% employer match on deferrals between 3% and 5% of compensation
