Position Overview

As an Assembler I, in our Final Assembly Sub-Assembly department, you will support a range of activities in a high-energy production environment to manufacture the best rail vehicles in the world!

What your day may look like
  • Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies following engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, and technical instructions with accuracy.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely; certifications may be required for cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components as needed.
  • Perform tasks using knowledge of various mechanical processes, operations, and equipment.
  • Complete work order documentation and quality records, and accurately log labor hours.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
To thrive in this role, you have
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Proven experience with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatics.
Additional Information

Candidates should be willing to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather if required or if applicable.

Physical Demands
  • Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently required to climb stairs, steps, and ladders.
  • Frequently required to work on elevated platforms.
  • Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA.
The base hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. This is a first shift position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
