Position OverviewAssembler I will support a range of activities in a high-energy production environment, assembling the final units to manufacture rail vehicles.
Responsibilities- Assemble units in the production of light rail vehicles, locomotives, and coaches, including roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, panels, air supply racks, and piping assemblies.
- Connect wires between component leads, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
- Perform electrical wire terminations.
- Cut wires to specified lengths and routes, comb, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wires to terminal points.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components as required.
- Perform tasks requiring knowledge of various processes, operations, and equipment.
- Work from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce electrical or electro-mechanical subassemblies.
- High school education, GED, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing or similar environment (e.g., construction, automotive, electrical service industries).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatics.
- Basic English skills – ability to read and understand written instructions and effectively communicate verbally.

Physical Demands- Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently climb stairs, steps, and ladders.
- Frequently work on elevated platforms.
- Perform work overhead.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The base hourly rate for this position is $21.00 with a 10% shift differential for second shift. We are offering both shifts at this time. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and location.
