Associate Vice President, Deputy Director, Real Property

Job Summary: AECOM is seeking an Associate Vice President, Deputy Director, Real Property to be based in Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex and sensitive projects across multiple locations, often distinguished by their size or program complexity.
  • Identify potential problems or opportunities proactively; analyze issues and develop optimal solutions.
  • Act independently or lead teams, ensuring project outputs align with scope and budget.
  • Assist the Director of Real Property with program management for the Real Property Branch (RPB).
  • Develop and oversee business plans, strategies, and priorities for the RPB.
  • Guide staff and consultants in functions such as surveys, utilities, permits, appraisals, negotiations, acquisitions, relocations, and property management, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Supervise administrative settlements and document development, ensuring adherence to legal and policy standards.
  • Advise on real property and third-party issues; provide technical expertise to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments, agencies, and external consultants to meet objectives.
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and 12 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of the Authority’s organization, laws, regulations, project delivery process, procurement, and contract negotiation practices.
    Additional Information:

    This position does not include sponsorship for US work authorization. Relocation assistance is not provided. Salary range: $160,000 - $230,000. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, wellness programs, and more.
