The California Franchise Tax Board is looking for a motivated, people focused leader to manage our Sacramento Field Office. Under the general direction of the Northern Regional Manager and as a key member of the Field Management Team you will lead the Sacramento Field Office Team responsible for providing in-person customer service and conducting proactive collections, including in-person field visits. You will:
- Keep operations running smoothly while continuously looking for smarter, better ways to work
- Tackle complex cases and guide staff through challenging situations
- Use data, reports, and trends to drive decisions
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to meet big picture goals
- Build a workplace where people feel respected, supported, and motivated
- Step in for the Regional Manager when needed and assist with hiring, training, and special projects.
You will be working closely with the Field Collection Supervisor, Public Counter Supervisor, Regional Manager, Assistant Bureau Director, and Bureau Director, aligning your team s efforts with broader organizational strategies.

- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading staff and managing day to day operational activities in a public service or compliance driven environment
