Overview
Strategies to Empower People is looking to hire a full-time Program Manager for Behavioral Support Services program. This position coordinates, develops and implements our community-based supported living program for disabled adults who have consistent & severe behavioral and medical challenges.
Responsibilities- Work with Directors, Managers and Field Supervisors to oversee and coordinate Supported Living Services for the Intellectual and/or Developmentally Disabled (I/DD) adults served in the Sacramento area.
- Directly supervise field supervisors and staff who work one-on-one with clients; ensure the health, safety and success of clients and employees.
- Perform general administrative duties including documentation, reports, and supervising field staff; conduct on-site assessments for incoming clients; provide hands-on support for current clients.
- Develop and implement plans, goals and celebrations for the people we support.
- Implement crisis intervention plans; write and implement therapeutic treatment plans; conduct quality assurance checks; fulfill high-level supervisory and management tasks.
- Coordinate on-call responsibilities as part of a rotating schedule with the management team (typically Monday through Friday with occasional weekend coverage).
This position operates out of the Sacramento office located at 2330 Glendale Lane. This is not an office-only position; the Program Manager is expected to be on-site and available to support clients in the Sacramento region as needed.
Schedule and CompensationSalary: $36-$37 per hour, transitioning to salaried at $74,880-$76,960 annually following an initial training period (rate offered dependent on relevant experience and/or education).
Schedule:
Salaried exempt role with on-call requirements, not a traditional 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. position; on-call Monday through Friday and rotating weekend duty with the management team (approximately one weekend per month).
- At least three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD).
- At least three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals who have regular and consistent behavioral challenges (including physical aggression, elopement, self-injurious behaviors, and other challenges).
- Educational background (BA/MA) in a related field such as Psychiatry or Social Work is preferred.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory and budgetary/finance experience (supervising staff, not individuals with disabilities).
- Understanding of Supported Living Services (SLS) and the Medi-Cal system.
- Computer skills and driving ability; possessing a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (no DUIs/wet-and-reckless within the past 10 years).
