Overview
Senior Administration Manager — Sacramento, California (Hybrid)
The Senior Administration Manager is responsible for ensuring effective business operations, overseeing events, and providing executive administrative support. We are looking for someone who has expertise in people and project management and generalist skills and experience across the range of business operations functions. Ideal candidates are flexible, highly organized, and oriented to customer-service. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience as a strong, equity-minded supervisor of two or more employees, able to “hit the ground running” as a supervisor.
This position partners with the Administration Director in the areas of finance and budgeting; human resources (HR) and labor relations; compliance and risk management; information technology (IT); culture, collaboration, internal communications and change management; and board relations. Additionally, they directly supervise employees who are responsible for planning and executing internal and external events. This position also provides executive assistance to the Executive Director and the Administration Director.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who is looking to make an impact in the health equity field.
This position is ideally based in Sacramento County, though consideration will also be given to candidates who live elsewhere in California. CPEHN maintains physical offices in Sacramento, Oakland, and Los Angeles and has a hybrid work policy (air travel required). CPEHN has a mandatory up-to-date COVID-19 vaccine policy.
Salary Range: $80,500 to $82,500

Responsibilities- Partner with the Administration Director (appx 40%) to carry out work across the full range of business operation functions: finance and budgeting; human resources (HR) and labor relations; compliance and risk management; information technology (IT); culture, collaboration, internal communications and change management; and board relations.
- Oversee the planning and execution of internal and external events that achieve CPEHN’s goals and efficiently utilize resources (appx 30%).
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Administration Director by managing schedules, communications, and various administrative tasks (appx 30%).
- Embedded within the key job duties is the supervision of administrative staff with oversight from the Administration Director; ensuring the department is effective, well-resourced, and well-supported so all may do their best work.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in administrative management or a similar role, with a proven track record of people management, supervision, executive support, and operational excellence.
- At least 3 years of direct supervision of two or more employees. Candidates must be able to describe their experience effectively fostering the growth of past supervises, and navigating cultural differences, conflicts, and giving and receiving feedback as a supervisor.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet conflicting deadlines within a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively and professionally with diverse staff, Board, constituents, and stakeholders.
- Strong computer skills, including Adobe Acrobat and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
- Organized with a strong attention to detail.
