Lawson SSP Group is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and manage our HVAC and mechanical service sales operations across multiple regions, including Sacramento, North Bay, Reno, and Fresno. This role is critical to driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding our maintenance agreement portfolio, and ensuring sales execution aligns with Lawson’s operational standards and customer service expectations.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day performance, accountability, and development of a sales team of approximately 4–5 sales professionals. The Sales Manager will work closely with Operations, Service Management, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure seamless execution from opportunity development through contract award and renewal.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the HVAC/Plumbing sales team across assigned regions
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company growth goals
- Drive growth in maintenance agreements, renewals, service work, special projects, and retrofit opportunities
- Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing sales professionals
- Set and manage sales KPIs, quotas, territories, and performance expectations
- Ensure accurate and timely CRM reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Overseesales administration including proposals, pricing, RFPs, contracts, renewals, RFIs, and change orders
- Review sales reports for accuracy and certify data prior to executive and finance submission
- Conduct ride-alongs, sales meetings, and performance reviews
- Participate in management and executive meetings and present pipeline, KPI, and forecast updates
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on Lawson SSP Group’s service and special projects offerings
- Proven sales leadership experience in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or related service/construction industries
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing systems, maintenance agreements, and service-based sales models
- Experience managing sales teams across multiple geographic regions
- Demonstrated success with RFPs, renewals, pricing strategy, and complex proposals
- Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business software
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to travel regionally as required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC sales or management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Salary Range: $125,000 – $165,000 annually
The posted salary range reflects expected starting pay for this position and does not include future promotional or long-term earning potential.
