About the RoleJob Title:
Director - Employee Benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, time‑off, and wellness plans.
- Manage benefits strategy, vendor relationships, negotiations, benchmarking, and cost analysis.
- Oversee open enrollment, plan renewals, and employee benefits communications.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and organisational regulations.
- Monitor audits, reporting, billing reconciliation, and cost control measures.
- Develop clear, effective benefits communication to enhance employee understanding and engagement.
- Lead, coach, and develop the benefits team while fostering a positive work environment.
- Partner with senior leadership on HR strategy and organisational initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in employee benefits administration, including health and retirement plans.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and complex programmes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience working with HR systems and benefits platforms.
- Professional certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM, CEBS, CCP) preferred.
- Nice to have experience in Mortgage / Banking domain.
This is Hybrid Role (Sacramento, California)
Salary RangeThe salary for this position is between $120,000 - $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
