We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans, to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Lead and manage the project team, including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Superintendents, General Foremen, and others.
- Train, supervise, and develop the Project Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Manage project budgets, including the procurement and verification of material pricing.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring the best possible terms.
- Make effective decisions that drive project progress and success.
- Communicate project progress and issues to all stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
- Generate and track requests for submittals, RFI's, and other project documentation.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Apply project management tools and techniques to monitor and control project risks.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction project management, specifically with framing and drywall.
- Proven experience in managing a team of diverse roles and skillsets.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, and the ability to understand project plans and specifications.
- Outstanding leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful contract negotiation.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex project information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management software, including scheduling and budgeting tools.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications in Project Management are a plus.
