Project Executive
DPR Construction is seeking a Construction Project Executive with 15+ years of commercial construction experience to join our Sacramento business unit. The role is responsible for business development, contract negotiations, insurance requirements, and high-level execution, project controls, engineering, cost, risk, and business management of one or more projects.
Responsibilities- Manage all project team members (project managers, engineers, superintendents, and field office coordinators).
- Lead project teams ranging from 10 to 50 employees.
- Mentor, develop, and train team members for accelerated growth.
- Maintain complete, detailed knowledge of project requirements and deliverables.
- Apply understanding of building processes and systems.
- Control costs through billing, collections, change management, and monthly status reporting.
- Oversee cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Serve as the key point of contact for owners and architects.
- Challenge and support jobsite and self‑perform work teams.
- Accountable for project completion, financial performance, critical success factors, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in regional operations, including staffing, business planning, and pre‑construction efforts.
- Excellent listening and strong communication skills.
- Ability to mentor others and lead by example.
- Capability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Skill in fostering team morale.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software (Prolog or equivalent), cost management software (CMIC or equivalent), and scheduling software (Primavera or equivalent).
- 15+ years of experience in project management or executive roles within DPR’s core markets.
- Experience in Healthcare or Advanced Technology market sectors.
- Experience working for a general contractor.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong work ethic and a "can‑do" attitude.
