Project Executive

DPR Construction is seeking a Construction Project Executive with 15+ years of commercial construction experience to join our Sacramento business unit. The role is responsible for business development, contract negotiations, insurance requirements, and high-level execution, project controls, engineering, cost, risk, and business management of one or more projects.

• Manage all project team members (project managers, engineers, superintendents, and field office coordinators).
• Lead project teams ranging from 10 to 50 employees.
• Mentor, develop, and train team members for accelerated growth.
• Maintain complete, detailed knowledge of project requirements and deliverables.
• Apply understanding of building processes and systems.
• Control costs through billing, collections, change management, and monthly status reporting.
• Oversee cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Serve as the key point of contact for owners and architects.
• Challenge and support jobsite and self‑perform work teams.
• Accountable for project completion, financial performance, critical success factors, and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in regional operations, including staffing, business planning, and pre‑construction efforts.

• Excellent listening and strong communication skills.
• Ability to mentor others and lead by example.
• Capability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Skill in fostering team morale.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software (Prolog or equivalent), cost management software (CMIC or equivalent), and scheduling software (Primavera or equivalent).
• 15+ years of experience in project management or executive roles within DPR’s core markets.
• Experience in Healthcare or Advanced Technology market sectors.
• Experience working for a general contractor.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong work ethic and a "can‑do" attitude.
