Job Description And Duties

Under the general direction of the Chief of Human Resources, the Supervisor II provides oversight and guidance to subordinate staff in the following areas: transactions, benefits, special leave programs and position control. The incumbent advises and works cooperatively with the department managers and supervisors on the difficult and complex personnel‑related issues in a manner consistent with governing laws, rules, regulations and policies.

Working Conditions

This position is located at: 1416 9th Street, Floor 13, Sacramento, CA 95814. The Supervisor II works generally in an office setting with elevator access and a cubicle with natural and artificial lighting. The incumbent in this position has frequent contact with DIR staff, representatives from other State agencies, and the public, in person, by telephone, and/or via TEAMS and email.

Much of this contact is of a sensitive and confidential nature. Being in a stationary position for long periods of time and extensive use of a computer is required.

Special Requirements
