Join Siemens Mobility, part of the Rolling Stock division, to lead bogie projects in Sacramento, CA. You will manage locomotive programs and support passenger, light rail, and metro vehicle projects with North American customers and international headquarters in Germany and Austria.
Position OverviewAs Project Manager, you will oversee bid management, scheduling, quality, budget, risk, resources, and project lifecycle. You will coach teams, manage scope changes, interface with clients and suppliers, report status, and maintain documentation.
What Your Day May Look Like- Bid management, defining and communicating project baselines (scope, budget, schedule), goals, and deliverables.
- Responsible for schedule, quality, budget, risk, opportunity and resource allocation throughout all project stages.
- Overseeing daily operations of engineering, procurement, operations, and quality management teams.
- Driving an ownership culture, coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members.
- Managing scope changes during design, procurement, production, service, and warranty phases.
- Executing continuous improvement plans (design to cost, design to manufacture).
- Interfacing with clients and suppliers, handling change orders, claims, and warranty work.
- Reporting project status to Bogie Business management.
- Tracking milestones and deliverables, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Defining and disseminating project success criteria.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
- Demonstrated project management experience with ownership of deliverables.
- At least 5 years of successful experience in a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent technical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and deliver clear, impactful presentations.
- Required travel: up to 25%.
- MBA preferred.
- PM@Siemens certification.
- Proficiency in German.

Sacramento, CA. Salary range: $100,266 – $135,354.
