Spencer Building Maintenance – Floor Care Technician (FT, Union) | Sacramento, CA 95828

Compensation: $18.90/hour

• Safely perform floor care tasks including waxing, stripping, and buffing, and properly use chemicals and machinery as instructed.
• Carpet care using extractors, encapsulation, and other methods to pre-treat stains and clean carpet.
• Respond to service requests as needed (e.g., emergency response and construction cleanups).
• Follow all written work instructions for jobs in specific areas, document labor time and scope of work completed in a timely manner.
• Safely use and manage company-issued equipment, chemicals, and vehicles; report items needing repair.
• Properly use company-issued personal safety equipment; observe and enforce safety protocols (e.g., wet floor and closed restroom signage).
• Demonstrate working knowledge of floor maintenance, carpet maintenance, and construction cleaning.
• Work independently in carpet cleaning and floor buffing; anticipate needs of the Lead in executing team duties.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and improve technical skills; advance to higher levels of company responsibility.
• Attend scheduled safety meetings; understand SDS and chemical usage; prioritize personal safety.
• Comply with CA rest breaks and meal period laws; maintain proper timecard documentation.
• Contribute to a positive work environment with a professional attitude and punctuality; uphold quality standards.
• Note:
  
  Technicians’ performance is measured by the flawless execution of tasks scheduled by the Supervisor, considering consistency, speed, quality, appearance, punctuality, initiative, and accountability.

• Stand, bend, and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Stand and walk throughout the shift; perform repetitive movements (e.g., bending or squatting).

This position may require travel to different locations using a company vehicle; the starting point will be the same location in the Sacramento area.

• You must be 18 years old.
• Good driving record.
• Be reliable and punctual; able to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to wear necessary personal protective equipment.
• Follow safety policies and procedures (e.g., locking doors, using proper chemicals, reporting incidents).
