Job Description And Duties
Under the general direction of the Assistant General Counsel and consistent with good customer service practices, the incumbent provides timely responses to internal clients/external customers, follows through on commitments, solicits and considers the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and Department of Water Resources (DWR) management teams’ input when completing work assignments related to restoration and mitigation programs, including but not limited to the Salton Sea, Delta, Sacramento and San Joaquin watersheds, State and Federal environmental compliance for the State Water Project (SWP), Healthy Rivers and Landscapes Program, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) mitigation requirements, and Tribal consultation and coordination related to the natural infrastructure, restoration, mitigation, and habitat projects.

Department of Water Resources (DWR) was established in 1956 by the California State Legislature. We manage California’s water resources, systems, and infrastructure, including the State Water Project, in a responsible sustainable way.
