Overview

A-V Rated Community Association Construction Defect and General Counsel law firm seeks an associate who will handle primarily corporate transactional work with some litigation work. At least three years’ experience preferred. Ideal candidate must have excellent writing and oral communication skills with a high level of motivation to learn. Though much of the work is transactional in nature, this position will require handling of simple litigation matters so the candidate must be comfortable appearing in Court.

Work will be primarily remote but candidates must be able to attend Bay Area and/or Sacramento Area meetings, events and court appearances.

• Draft opinion letters and various documents for corporate clients;
• Review and analyze contracts;
• Represent clients in simple litigation matters (drafting pleadings, motions, court appearances, etc.);
• Communicate with clients, either via email or in person;
• Attend occasional industry events and meetings in evenings.

• At least three years’ experience preferred.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills with a high level of motivation to learn.
• Comfortable appearing in court for simple litigation matters.
• Ability to work primarily remote while attending Bay Area and/or Sacramento Area meetings, events and court appearances as needed.
