Attorney​/Lawyer

Description

We are looking for an experienced attorney to join a dynamic and established law firm in Sacramento, California. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in municipal law and a passion for both transactional and litigation work.

Responsibilities:

- Advise clients on compliance with municipal laws, including the Brown Act, Conflicts of Interest, and Public Records Act.

- Draft and review contracts related to construction and other regulated industries, ensuring adherence to legal standards.

- Represent clients in litigation matters, particularly those involving construction law and contracting disputes.

- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare persuasive written arguments and oral presentations.

- Collaborate with clients to build trust and instill confidence in the legal counsel provided.

- Work independently to manage multiple cases while maintaining high-quality legal output.

- Provide guidance on open government practices and regulations to ensure transparency.

- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and expertise.

Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing general municipal law.

- Proven expertise in open government laws, including the Brown Act and Public Records Act.

- Familiarity with construction law and contracting processes is highly desirable.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Demonstrated experience in litigation and transactional legal matters.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client confidence.
