Responsibilities
  • Paralegal Duties:
    Draft and file legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, and subpoenas; manage case files and maintain organized documentation; conduct legal research and summarize findings; assist attorneys in trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination; monitor deadlines and court schedules using calendaring software.
  • Legal Secretary Duties:
    Prepare correspondence and format legal documents; schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances; maintain attorney calendars and ensure timely filings; communicate professionally with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel; handle administrative tasks such as billing, filing, and document management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in civil litigation as a paralegal and/or legal secretary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
  • Strong understanding of California civil procedure and court filing systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with trial preparation and attendance.
  • Familiarity with e-filing systems (state, federal, and appellate).
