Labor & Employment Subject Matter Expert

As an Employment Law Subject Matter Expert, you will serve as a subject matter expert on California, Federal and local labor and employment law for Cal Chamber’s products and services. Serve as an Employment Law Expert on the Labor Law Helpline. Produces, writes and speaks at Cal Chamber sponsored events, seminars, webinars and training events. Writes for and provides editorial support for all Cal Chamber publications.

• Acts as a subject matter expert on, and maintains a current knowledge base of, all areas of California and applicable Federal and local labor and employment laws.
• Responsible for researching, writing and updating Cal Chamber content related to local labor and employment laws.
• Research and analyze legal information and communicate legal requirements without providing legal advice.
• Writes for, edits and/or reviews Cal Chamber publications concerning state, federal and local labor and employment laws.
• Produces/co-produces, writes/co-writes, edits and conducts Webinars, seminars and online events specific to employment law along with Cal Chamber staff.
• Exhibits professionalism at all times and maintains good customer service with members.
• Ensures that content is delivered in a timely manner.

• J.D. plus CA employment law experience of 3 – 5 years (min) Required.
• Bilingual a Plus.
• Proficient at reading, analyzing, and interpreting legislative and legal periodicals, professional journals, or government regulations.
• Able to write articles, reports business correspondence, and presentations.
• Experienced with use of software, such as Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
