Wilke Fleury is seeking an experienced Transactional Bankruptcy/Insolvency Attorney to join our growing team in Sacramento, California. This role focuses on the non-litigation aspects of bankruptcy and restructuring, advising clients through complex financial transactions, workouts, sale transactions, and insolvency matters. The ideal candidate is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on bankruptcy-related transactions, sales, restructurings, and workouts
• Draft and negotiate agreements related to Chapter 11 matters, debtor-in-possession financing, forbearance agreements, asset sales, and restructuring plans
• Analyze financial and legal risks associated with distressed transactions
• Coordinate with litigation counsel, financial advisors, and opposing counsel as needed
• Provide strategic guidance to clients on insolvency alternatives and compliance issues

Qualifications

• 3-10+ years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, or insolvency-related transactional work
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Experience with Chapter 11 bankruptcy transactions preferred
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Salary Range: $150,000 – $220,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
