Civil Litigation Paralegal – Full Time (Walnut Creek Office)

Bold, Polisner, Maddow, Nelson & Judson, A Professional Corporation is seeking a full-time Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our Walnut Creek office. This position requires 35–40 hours per week and offers an opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex civil litigation matters. Experience in trusts and estates litigation is a strong plus.

What You’ll Do
  • Support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain case files, including electronic document management.
  • Review and summarize depositions, medical records, and financial documents.
  • Manage deadlines, hearings, and court filings in compliance with California Court rules.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Handle e-filing and physical filing of documents with various courts.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with cite-checking.
  • Additional duties as needed to support the litigation team.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in civil litigation.
  • Familiarity with California Court rules and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support software.
  • Experience with e-filing systems and document management platforms.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional court filings.
  • Notary Public certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of probate and trust litigation terminology and processes.
  • Strong organizational and research skills.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and deadlines.
