Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Employment Litigation Attorney to join our growing and collegial law firm. This role is ideal for a self-starter who exercises strong judgment, takes initiative, and approaches legal matters with integrity, professionalism, and a consultative mindset.

Reporting directly to the firm's partners, you will work closely with employer clients, providing practical day-to-day employment law guidance while handling litigation matters from inception through resolution. You will play a meaningful role in case strategy, advocacy, and client relationship management.

Responsibilities
  • Advise employer clients on day-to-day employment law issues
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; review and analyze discovery responses
  • Argue motions and appear in court proceedings
  • Participate meaningfully in case strategy from inception through completion
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Engage in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions
  • Conduct legal research and draft high-quality legal memoranda
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through a consultative approach
  • Participate in networking and business development initiatives
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to team development
What You'll Bring
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • 1-9 years of experience in employment law, litigation, or both
  • Strong analytical, forward-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Executive presence with emerging or demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Exceptional legal writing skills
  • Ability to travel for client obligations (court appearances, depositions, mediations) as needed
  • Willingness to mentor and support professional development within the firm
